If you’re into spirituality and self development, chances are you’ve already heard of the Law of Attraction. And if you haven’t, don’t worry! You already know more about this law than you might think. You’ve actually experienced it numerous, countless times in your life already!

A lot of the things in your life up until this very moment are things YOU attracted into your life, unconsciously using this Law of Attraction. I’ll tell you exactly how it works and how to use it consciously.

The Law of Attraction Explained

When you think about it – like really think about it – the law of attraction is one of the most logical and fascinating laws in our universe.

Let’s start with the following question: “Who or what created our universe?

If you’d ask a religious person who or what created our universe, he or she’d tell you “God“. Then, if you’d ask him/her to describe God, the religious person will say that God always was and always has been, He’s always moving in form, through form and out of form and that He can’t be created or destroyed.

If you’d ask a scientist the exact same question, he/she’d tell you that “Energy” created our universe. If you’d ask him or her to describe energy, the scientist will tell you that it always was and always has been, it’s moving in form, through form and out of form and that it can’t be created or destroyed.

You see: it’s the exact same answer! When we’re talking about God, we’re talking about the energy that created this universe, our source energy… That’s maybe why religious people are always saying that we are all children of God, because if you see God as the source energy who created this universe and us, then yes, we are…

Let’s just take the scientific route: we all come from a source of energy. Eerything you see when you look around comes from this source of energy and it flows inside of you as well.

Because we’re all made up of energy, and the whole universe is made up of energy, it makes sense that we can “communicate” with the universe through our vibrations. The feelings of happiness, love, fulfillment & abundance send out high vibrations to the universe and attract more of those high vibrations. Feelings of pessimism, self-doubt, sadness and ignorance send out low vibrations and therefore attract more of those low vibrations.

You know those “Today I’m grateful for ……” posts on Instagram? Well, they actually serve a purpose! By recognizing the things you already have, you’ll create a feeling of gratitude and with that feeling you attract more things into your life that you’ll be grateful for.

And the same goes for the exact opposite: if you keep focussing on the fact that you don’t have enough money, that the place where you live sucks, that you’re not as pretty as *blank*, you’ll create negative feelings and therefore send out bad vibes, and you’ll actually attract more of those things into your life.

So, the Law of Attraction basically means that you need to allign your own vibration with the vibration of the things you want to attract in your life. For example: if you want to attract more money, you need to allign your vibration with the high vibration of the feeling that comes with having a life full of abundance. You need to feel as if you already have it, feel the happiness that comes with it, the feeling of being able to buy everything you desire, and then you’ll send out those high vibrations so you can attract those things.

In short: high vibrations attract the things you desire, low vibrations attract the things you despise.

Now it’s time for all the best techniques to start manifesting and attracting the things you want into your life! You can use these techniques for basically anything that’s realistic to have, like manifesting your dream body.

1. Be grateful for the things you already have.

I already gave this one as an example in the explanation, but in order to attract things that you’ll be grateful for into your life, you need to send out those high vibrations.

For example: Emma Bovary (let me know in the comments if you’ve ever read this book!) isn’t very happy with her life. She’s constantly daydreaming about a better life with more luxury, more passionate relationships, more adventure, she wants to live in a city like Paris and despises her boring life with her boring husband in a boring village.

Every single day she is longing for something to change, which makes her feel quite miserable. You can imagine that the vibrations she sends out are pretty low as well, which actually attract more and more of the things she despises.

In order to attract the things you desire into your life, you need to feel grateful for what you already have. Only then you can send out high vibrations and allign with that what you want.

2. Script your ideal future in a manifestation journal

This is the moment to travel in time and be super, super specific about what you want to be/achieve/have. Where do you live? What does your home look like? What are your income streams and what amount of money do you want to make per month? Who are the people around you? What do you look like? What’s your wardrobe like? What kind of products do you use daily? Just be super specific (and realistic) and write it all down in a manifestation journal.

Write this “future script” in the present tense so you start to feel as if you’re really there, as if it already happened. The most important part about this is to start alligning your vibration with your ideal future so you’ll be able to attract it. Once you’re done with scripting your future, you just read (and feel!) this script as often as you’d like.

This shouldn’t be like a task that you have to do because you just want the Law of Attraction to work, this should be enjoyable and if you’re doing it right, you’ll look forward to your little moment in the future. The feelings that come with reading this future script will allign your vibration with the future you want to attract.

3. Feel as if you already own the things you desire

Now that you’ve been super specific about what you want your future to look like, you’ve got a clear vision of it and you know exactly how it makes you feel to be in that position, it’s time to act as if you already have those things. Again: you do this in order to align your vibration with the future you want to attract.

Let’s say you’re almost broke and you keep saying to friends/yourself “I don’t have enough money, I’m so broke, etc”, you’re not at all aligning with the vibration that comes with having a lot of money. Instead of focussing on the fact that you don’t have enough money, try to feel abundant with the life you’ve got right now.

Count yourself rich for the things you already own. If you don’t have enough money for a wardrobe full of designer clothes, just stop focussing on it. You don’t need it right now, and it will come in time. Instead of being sad about the fact that you can’t afford it (& send out low vibrations into the universe), think about the things you already have and how abundant they make you feel. Don’t make yourself feel poor, make yourself feel rich.

You know the saying fake it untill you make it? Manifesting is basically that. When you fake being confident, you’ll send out those vibrations to the universe and you’ll attract confidence. The mind is so extremely powerful! It’s the same with being sick. If you’re sick and you keep dwelling on things like “Oh, I feel horrible, I’m so tired, everything hurts, etc” you’ll feel sicker than when you shift your mind and say “I feel like I’m getting better”.

4. Try to raise your vibration every single day

As you know: high vibrations attract the things you desire. If you want to attract those kinds of things, you need to make sure to raise your vibration. Now, this doesn’t mean you need to be happy all the time, but try to raise your vibration whenever you can. Especially when you’ve got a bad day and everything seems to be going wrong, raising your vibration can make you feel a whole lot better.

The number one thing that helps to raise your vibration is to take a little moment (in silence, nature sounds or with some 963Hz frequency music), think about the things you’re grateful for, the things you desire, the things/people that make you happy, etc. And don’t only think about those things, FEEL it.

It also helps to randomly smile when you’re walking or with whatever you’re doing. Smiling releases endorphins, the happy hormones, which will instantly raise your vibration and make you think more positively. Without realising it, your facial expressions can really change your mood – and with that, your vibration.

Another thing you can do to raise your vibration is to exercise. This, again, releases endorphins, but you need to start changing your mindset when it comes to exercising. Stop seeing it as something you need to do in order to get in shape, but start looking at it as an act of mindfulness. Don’t slave yourself away in the gym – be mindful about what you’re thinking while you’re working out. It’s not necessarily about how tired & sweaty you make yourself, it’s more so about the experience, challenging and getting to know yourself. Exercising is actually an enormously good way to manifest and build self-confidence. If you can finish this workout, you can finish a lot more things in your daily life!

5. Actually put in the work

And that brings me to my very last point: work on yourself. I have no idea what you desire to have/be in the future. Maybe it’s having more money, more loving relationships, more confidence, more abundance, it can be anything you want, but in order for this to work, you need to believe in yourself. You need to have the confidence that it actually can work. And trust me, you won’t get that confidence just by sitting on the couch staring at the TV.

The Law of Attraction isn’t a magic trick where you wish for it, feel as if you already have it, and then it miraculously comes into reality. You need to start working on yourself, asking yourself “would the person I desire to become make this or that decision?“. Fake it until you make it, you know? Start new, healthy habits, a business, exercise. Fake being the person you want to become and you’ll manifest that life into your reality.
